Convergent Dental's Solea laser was awarded a gold medal at the 2015 Edison Award ceremony.
The award was announced on April 23 at the Edison Awards Annual Gala in New York City. The Solea laser placed in the dental x-ray and laser tools category.
"Our judges recognized Solea as a true innovator out of the many products in its category," stated Frank Bonafilia, executive director of the Edison Awards, in a press release.
The Edison Awards, named for Thomas Edison, recognize excellence in new product and service development, marketing, human-centered design and innovation. More than 3,000 business executives, academics, designers, scientists, and engineers from the U.S. judge Edison Award nominees. Each year a gold, silver, and bronze medal are given out to the top products in various categories.
