Biolase Technology has promoted Richard Whipp to the newly created position of vice president of operations.
Formerly the director of operations, Whipp will continue to report to Chairman and CEO Federico Pignatelli and Chief Financial Officer Fred Furry, the company noted.
Whipp, 59, has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing and operations. Prior to joining Biolase in July 2011, he spent 13 years in operations at Discus Dental, where he was senior director of operations.
