Water Pik has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Church & Dwight, the maker of Arm & Hammer products, for approximately $1 billion in cash.
Subject to regulatory approval and other conditions, the transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2017, with Water Pik continuing to operate its Fort Collins, CO, location.
Church & Dwight noted that oral care is strategically important to the company, which also owns Spinbrush toothbrushes and Orajel analgesics.
Water Pik was acquired from MidOcean Partners in July 2013.
