Israel-based intraoral 2D imaging technology company Densys has filed a U.S. lawsuit, claiming patent violations against South Korea-based digital dentistry firm Medit, according to a story published on June 27 on UPI.

Densys filed the lawsuit in June in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, accusing Medit of infringing on two of its primary U.S. patents related to intraoral scanning.

Densys is seeking a jury trial, as well as an injunction, damages, and enhanced penalties because it claims the violations are willful infringement, according to the story.

The lawsuit claims Medit’s intraoral scanners and associated software use Densys’ patented technology without authorization, according to the story.
