Dear DrBicuspid Member,
On the first Friday of April, spring is starting to show itself here in northern Colorado. Flowers are starting to bloom, and the Colorado Rockies have returned to Coors Field to begin the 2024 baseball season. It's a great time of year here in the Denver area (well, unless you're a Rockies fan, but that's a whole different story).
Wherever you are today, I hope your month is off to a good start. I also hope you've had a chance to catch up on some of the latest articles here on DrBicuspid.com.
Those articles include a string of crime-related stories that were some of our most-read work of the week, including a former dentist who received a stunning sentence for allegedly horrific crimes and an office manager who pled guilty to not paying a staggering amount of taxes.
Also, did you know a selfie could help land someone in jail? A photo taken by a patient in a dental chair started a crazy series of events that helped police arrest a drug trafficking kingpin.
Away from the police blotter, there was some big news in the fight against oral cancer (perfect timing as Oral Cancer Awareness Month kicks off, right?) as well as questions raised about whether cavities will really need to be filled in the future.
Finally, if you're into podcasts, may I suggest this episode where I talk to my good friend (and dental insurance guru) Teresa Duncan about the battles that can pop up between the back and front offices. We also dive into an important discussion around documentation.
As always, thanks for reading this note and for reading DrBicuspid.com. Here's to an amazing month ahead for you and your business!
