It’s been an exciting week here at DrBicuspid.com, including some stories that have drawn plenty of eyeballs, as well as the announcement of the finalists for our annual Cuspies awards.

In other news, I found this article from Beth Gaddis fascinating, as dental service organizations tipped their hands on what technology they have incorporated into their businesses in 2023 and which ones they will likely add in 2024. All of us always like to know how others are succeeding, and this article gave a great peek behind the curtain.
If you’re more interested in the past than the future, we have some articles that are right up your alley. Check out this article about an ancient mammoth tusk that was recently unearthed in North Dakota and how tooth variations offer hints on how our ancestors made their way to their locations across the globe.
How about some stories of interest from the near past, like earlier this decade? Melissa Busch went back in the time machine to 2020 and found some fascinating articles we covered on DrBicuspid.com, including tales of mouths set on fire, hoverboards in the operatory, and babies with two mouths. Trust me, you’re going to want to take a deep dive into this article.
Finally, I’m always an advocate for dental assistants and the important role they play in the practice, so I was thrilled with Amanda DeMoura’s article that gives assistants tips on how to future-proof their careers. I also enjoyed sitting down with Tom Viola, RPh, in this "Dental Assistant Nation" podcast in which he gives assistants (and all dental professionals) some needed advice on Ozempic (and other similar drugs) and the impact those medications have on oral health.
