On January 2, Invisalign maker Align Technology completed its acquisition of Austrian-based 3D-printing company Cubicure for about 79 million euros ($86.4 million).
The acquisition, which was first announced in September, will extend and scale Align’s printing, materials, and manufacturing capabilities for its 3D-printed products. Cubicure uses its patented hot lithography technology to produce tough, temperature polymers, according to the clear aligner company.
