TAG – The Aspen Group, the parent company of dental service organization (DSO) Aspen Dental, is leading a pilot program to support under- and unemployed women by preparing them to enter the dental assistant workforce.
TAG, along with Women Employed (WE) and Midwestern Career College (MCC), are offering resources to help prepare low-income for careers as dental assistants in Chicago, Evergreen Park, Oak Lawn, and their surrounding communities in Illinois.
Low-income women are eligible to receive need-based financial assistance provided by WE that will be applied to the program's tuition and other expenses, including fees, books, uniforms, and childcare. Furthermore, TAG's Oral Care Center serves as a year-round dental assisting externship site, where onsite clinical training is provided, for select MCC dental assisting program participants. MCC's Evergreen Park campus offers discounted tuition to Health Care Careers participants referred by WE.
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be prepared to earn a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certificate.
Interested women can apply to enroll in the next class by visiting MCC’s website.
