Univ. of the Pacific gets $120K for special training

The WITH Foundation has awarded a $120,000 grant to the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry to train dental and medical professionals how to deliver dental care to people with developmental disabilities.

The WITH Foundation is a private foundation with the mission of establishing comprehensive healthcare for adults with development disabilities. The university's special care clinic and hospital dentistry program will use the three-year grant to educate and train more than 570 healthcare professionals. The students will learn how to provide dental care to adults with cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, genetic abnormalities, and seizure disorder.
