Henry Schein recognized for donation to Tel Aviv Univ. dental school

Henry Schein was recently recognized for its donation of equipment and technology to the Tel Aviv University School of Dental Medicine's postgraduate dental clinics.

The Rothstein-Williamowsky Post-Graduate Clinics will function as a comprehensive oral care center, servicing disadvantaged and special needs patients, and train future dental professionals in Israel. They will feature clinical rooms and operatories, including dental treatment rooms, child recovery rooms, and a general anesthesia theatre; advanced restorative, oral psychophysiology, periodontology, and endodontology units; an advanced technical laboratory; and a technical minilab.

The clinics were named after the late Ralph Burton Rothstein, a Washington DC-based philanthropist and champion for oral health, and Ben Williamowsky, DDS, a retired private dentist and former president of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, the world's oldest international dental organization.

Stanley M. Bergman, chairman and CEO of Henry Schein, accepted the honor at the American Friends of Tel Aviv University (AFTAU) Celebration of Generosity dinner gala, held recently in New York City. The event honored supporters of the campaign to establish the postgraduate clinics. The event was hosted by Alpha Omega and AFTAU, a not-for-profit organization committed to supporting higher education in Israel and elsewhere.
