SAIC to update Indian Health Service's EDR system

Science Applications International (SAIC) has been awarded $17 million by the Indian Health Service (IHS) to help replace its electronic dental record (EDR) system.

The single-award firm fixed-price/time and materials task order has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total contract value of approximately $17 million if all options are exercised.

The IHS is responsible for providing federal health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives. IHS provides a comprehensive health service delivery system for American Indians and Alaska Natives who are enrolled members of 566 federally recognized tribes.

Under the task order, SAIC will continue functional support for all phases of the EDR implementation associated with interface, security, testing, task management, administration, program oversight, and to manage improvements to the practice management tools available to IHS dental clinics through a software product solution.
