Curve Dental customers will soon have mobile access to practice information via Apple or Android smartphones.
The technology will allow doctors to change, create, or delete appointments and view patient contact information when away from the office, at no additional cost, the company said in a press release.
Schedule changes are synched and reflected across all devices accessing the same database. Doctors can call or send an email message to their customers with one-touch functionality. Future development plans include access to patient images.
Customers navigate to the same login page as on a regular computer. User names and passwords are the same. The service is included with a customer's monthly subscription fee to the company's practice management system. The app should be ready early this year.
