SuccessEHS has acquired MMD Systems, which offers practice management, electronic dental record, and imaging software.
MMD Systems will now operate as a division of SuccessEHS, the companies announced.
The acquisition adds MMD's MediaDent electronic dental record (EDR) product to SuccessEHS's current offerings, which include an electronic health record (EHR) and practice management solutions with integrated medical billing services.
The incorporation of a full electronic dental record into SuccessEHS's solution set underscores the company's commitment to the community health center (CHC) market, SuccessEHS noted. The company currently serves more than 190 CHCs, which offer a spectrum of medical, behavioral, and dental services. SuccessEHS plans to offer the MediaDent EDR and its existing EHR as an integrated solution for CHCs, in addition to offering both products on a standalone basis.
In its standalone form, MediaDent will continue to exist as a full EDR for independent dental providers, and will also offer interface capabilities for clients with existing practice management and EHR/EMR systems. SuccessEHS will offer independent dental practitioners a fully cloud-based EDR, including imaging, via its SaaS hosting option.
