Ameritas Group, a division of Ameritas Life Insurance, has made a $5,000 contribution to a student-run dental clinic at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry.
The Sharing Clinic, which opened in 2008, provides dental care to low-income adults in the community. This volunteer clinic makes it possible for those who are underprivileged, underserved, and underinsured to receive the dental care they need, and provides student volunteers with a great learning opportunity.
Ameritas Group also recently made a $250,000 gift commitment to the University of Nebraska Foundation to establish a permanent endowment that will provide annual support for research focused on preventing, detecting, and treating oral cancer.
