Illinois will be getting a new dental school after Midwestern University this week got the approval to build a five-story medical and teaching clinic office building at its Downers Grove campus, according to a news story in the Herald-News.
The school will start operations in two years. Since announcing the new program, Midwestern has already received 2,000 applications for 125 available seats, according to the story.
"The clinic is key," said Midwestern President Kathleen Goeppinger, PhD, in the story. "We will be advertising a full range of dental care throughout the region."
