Aspen Dental, one of the largest networks of dental care providers in the U.S., experienced significant growth in 2010, adding 51 new dental offices, an expansion of more than 20%, the company said.
The new openings, which included Aspen's first locations in two states (Nebraska and Tennessee), brought the total number of Aspen Dental practices to 273 locations in 21 states.
More than 422,000 new patients visited an Aspen Dental office during 2010, compared with 340,000 in 2009, a 25% increase, the company said. In total, Aspen Dental practices recorded more than 1.8 million total patient visits.
In addition, Aspen Dental's central and onsite denture labs produced more than 140,000 full and partial ComfiDents brand dentures last year, the company said.
Aspen expects to open an additional 55 new offices in 2011, plus expand the Aspen Dental Practice Support Center, which provides business support services to Aspen Dental doctors and their practices.
