Henry Schein wing to open at NYU dental school

Henry Schein will celebrate the opening of the Henry Schein Cares Wing at the New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry on June 2, 2010. The company donated equipment, technology, and healthcare supplies valued at more than $2 million to support the dental school through its Henry Schein Cares program.

Housed on the second floor of the Dr. George and Ann Witkin Graduate Center for Clinical Excellence, the new wing includes 56 dental chairs for the care of patients in the community. There are more than 350,000 visits to the dental school annually, the company noted. NYU College of Dentistry students work in teams together with NYU faculty to provide care to patients.

In addition to the opening of the new wing, Henry Schein Cares and the NYU College of Dentistry recently announced a five-year sponsorship of the dental school's international outreach program.
