Dental alumnus gives Case Western $20.5 million

Case Western Reserve University has received a $20.5 million gift from an alumnus of its dental school, according to a story in Crain's Cleveland Business.

The gift was given by the family of the late Donald J. Goodman and Ruth Weber Goodman. Dr. Goodman, a 1945 graduate of the CWRU dental school, was a Cleveland dentist who made millions in the stock market, Crain's reported.

Part of the gift was used to create the Dr. Donald and Ruth Goodman Professorship in Innovative Cancer Therapeutics. Some of the money also will benefit the dental school, according to Crain's.
