AGD partners with Colgate on continuing education

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and Colgate-Palmolive have announced a year-long partnership to provide quality continuing dental education (CDE) programs to AGD members. The AGD and Colgate aim to raise awareness of the connection between oral and overall health, according to a press release.

One solution the AGD and Colgate have developed to help educate member general dentists about this topic is local educational courses. In 2009, Colgate will sponsor up to nine courses that all AGD constituents and their local members will have an opportunity to participate in and earn continuing education credits.

In addition, during the 2009 AGD Annual Meeting & Exhibits in Baltimore, July 8-12, member general dentists and their dental teams will be able to take part in an educational course specifically developed to increase attendees' knowledge and understanding of the connection between oral and overall health.
