Artificial intelligence (AI) technology developer Pearl has received clearance from the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) Ministry of Health and Prevention for its Second Opinion software.
Second Opinion applies computer vision technologies to detect an array of pathologies, existing restorations, and natural anatomy on dental radiographs, the company said. The software helps analyze radiographs in real-time and allows dentists to display, review, add, or reject its detections while conducting exams.
The company said this latest regulatory clearance allows it to take a first step toward driving growth and better patient outcomes across Middle Eastern dentistry.
