Canadian digital imaging developer Teledyne DALSA has launched advanced scanning reconstruction software for the company's Xineos complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) flat-panel x-ray detectors.
The Xineos x-ray image reconstruction technology for scanning applications offers an increase in depth of field across the full arch, a lower radiation dose, and increased image sharpness, according to the company. It is based on a reconstruction of a volume of tomographic planes through the patient's anatomy and a synthesis of a single 2D panoramic or cephalometric image.
The company's products can be seen in hall 11.2, stand N060, at the International Dental Show in Cologne, Germany, from March 21-25.
