MyRay has released a firmware update for its Hyperion panoramic imager that includes additions to the 3DTS volumetric tomography plug-in and enhanced x-ray beam collimation.
With the update, dentists can now narrow their focus on the mandible or maxillary region when planning implants with 3DTS, according to the company. Additions to the implant library include popular sizes by AstraTech, Biomet 3i, Straumann, and Nobel Biocare.
New projections include bitewing, wide focus panoramic, and multiple temporomandibular joint disorder diagnostics.
All new Hyperion models include MyRay's upgraded features. Existing owners are encouraged to contact the company for their complimentary firmware upgrade.
