AFP Imaging wins FDA nod for cone-beam CT

Digital x-ray developer The company's NewTom VG cone-beam CT scanner produces 3D images of the teeth and jaws, with its primary applications including diagnosis and treatment planning for dental implants, oral surgery, and ear, nose, and throat procedures.

The company has named Genexa Medical of Toronto as its exclusive Canadian distributor for the device, AFP Imaging said.
