Dentsply Sirona has announced extensive changes to the company's leadership, including resignations from the company's CEO and also the president and chief operating officer (COO).
CEO Jeffrey Slovin, President and COO Christopher Clark, and Executive Chairman Bret Wise have resigned, the company announced. Reasons for the sudden leadership change were not given, but the company noted that they were not related to issues or disagreements about financial disclosures. Dentsply Sirona reported a $1.05 billion loss for the fiscal second quarter of 2017.
Mark Thierer, previously CEO of OptumRx, will replace Slovin as interim CEO, and Bob Size, previously senior vice president at Dentsply Sirona, will take over as interim president and COO. Eric Brandt will serve as nonexecutive chairman of the board.
