3D Diagnostic Imaging, the developer and supplier of the CarieScan Pro, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement in China with Wisdom International Medical Science and Technology.
Wisdom International is a wholly owned subsidiary of Beijing Focus, one of the top five dental distributors in China, according to the companies.
Wisdom International has considerable experience in gaining the necessary regulatory approval for the sale of dental and medical products in China, they noted. 3D Diagnostic Imaging expects to complete this process for CarieScan Pro later this year.
The number of practicing dentists in China is believed to have increased more than tenfold over the last 25 years to about 60,000, according to 3D Diagnostic Imaging.
