Illinois gets first mobile cone-beam CT system

Illinois now has its first mobile NewTom cone-beam CT scanner, according to the system's manufacturer, AFP Imaging. The unit belongs to 3D Mobile Imaging, which brings its imaging services to dental practices around the state.

A "growing fleet" of independently owned mobile cone-beam CT service providers is offering similar services in other parts of the U.S., AFP Imaging said.
