Sirona has reported a nearly 10% increase in its fiscal first-quarter 2014 revenues compared with last year. The company increased revenues by $26.3 million to $298.7 million.
For the first fiscal quarter of 2014 (end-December 31, 2013), net income was $44.2 million, compared with $38.3 million in the same period last year.
The company's strong performance was driven by strength in the CAD/CAM and imaging markets, Jeffrey Slovin, president and CEO noted in a press release. Customers remain focused on Omnicam and the new chairside milling units.
Sirona develops, manufactures, and markets a complete line of dental products, including CAD/CAM restoration systems (Cerec); digital intraoral, panoramic, and 3D imaging systems; dental treatment centers; and handpieces.
