The FDI World Dental Federation is urging its members to support Lebanese dentists who were affected by an explosion in Beirut on August 4.
The Lebanese Dental Association, a member of the FDI, is calling for donations to support dentists who lost their practices due to the blast. More than 300 clinics were damaged, the FDI said.
"FDI calls on its member dental associations to support the dentists and dental teams who have lost their livelihoods as a direct result of this disaster," the FDI said in a statement. "The funds will be used to assist them in rebuilding their practices and replacing essential medical supplies, tools, and equipment."
