Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher Patrick Corbin is partnering with the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) to promote National Facial Protection Month in April.
The Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher consistently wears a mouthguard from his position on the pitching mound and while at bat. Corbin and the AAO have created a radio public service campaign to encourage athletes of all ages to protect their mouth, teeth, and face. Their primary goal is to remind players of the importance of wearing a mouthguard and the serious repercussions of an injury to the teeth.
National Facial Protection Month is an annual initiative focused on encouraging the use of a mouthguard and appropriate safety gear in recreational and organized sports in practice and during games.
