Hu-Friedy has named Ken Serota as the company's new president, replacing Ron Saslow, who will continue as CEO and become chairman of the board.
The company also announced that Dick Saslow, who has been chairman of the board, will serve as chairman emeritus and continue as a senior adviser and member of the board of directors.
Serota has been affiliated with Hu-Friedy since 2004, when he was on the company's advisory board. Previously, he was president and CEO of Liberty Group Publishing, where he more than doubled the organization's revenue by acquisitions, increasing market penetration, and introducing additional niche products.
Before joining Liberty Group, Serota, who is an attorney and accountant, held various executive level positions in the Chicago area.
