Ultradent contributed more than 68,500 pounds of canned food to the Utah Food Bank this week, making the company the winner of the bank's Reach Higher food drive.
This year's donation was a 60,000-pound increase over Ultradent's first food drive in 2007.
The Reach Higher weeklong competition encouraged employees and customers to collect cash and canned goods for points toward a company total. Ultradent finished ahead of eBay with a total of $16,147 in cash and 3,867 in donated canned food, which each contributed toward a weighted total.
Ultradent, which is based in South Jordan, UT, has participated in a food drive for the Utah Food Bank for the last four years.
