Sigma Digital launches portable intraoral x-ray device

Sigma Digital X-Ray has gained U.S. Food and Drug Administration marketing clearance for Biox, a portable intraoral x-ray system.

Biox operates on 24-VDC power supplied by either an AC power supply or external rechargeable lithium polymer battery pack with belt clip. By using an external power source, the system is lighter and more powerful, according to the company.
