AFP Imaging will use the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting next week to officially launch the latest addition to its cone-beam CT family of products: the NewTom VGi.
Among its many new features, the NewTom VGi has a 50% larger field-of-view, making it possible to capture a full volume of the dentomaxillofacial region in full cephalometric images, according to the company.
The VGi also incorporates a high-resolution zoom that collimates the region of interest and captures images at twice the resolution of a standard scan. In addition, the redesigned patient positioning of VGi features a comfortable motorized chin rest, and positioning lasers, the company said.
"To date, NewTom image quality has been considered the very highest, unsurpassed," said Roberto Molteni, chief technical officer for AFP Imaging, in a press release. "The VGi provides the next generation of imaging excellence."
