Portable dental equipment manufacturer Aseptico will launch three new products at the upcoming 2020 Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting.
Mobile operatory
The AMC-15 self-contained mobile operatory is designed for performing general dentistry and endodontic procedures in nursing homes and other institutional settings. The mobile operatory requires 115- or 230-volt power but not air or plumbing connections.
It comes with fillable 1-L water supply bottles, three handpieces, high- and low-volume suction, and an amalgam separator. It also features a height-adjustable auxiliary arm with an accessory tray for added efficiency.
The new operatory is listed at $9,940 with the auxiliary arm and $9,495 without it.
Brushless lab motor
Aseptico has upgraded its heavy-duty brushless lab motor for more power and performance. The 50,000 rotations per minute (rpm) micromotor produces consistent torque, even at low speeds, according to the company.
The motor can be placed vertically or horizontally and was designed for heavy acrylic use. It also features a digital display, customizable memory storage, and self-diagnostic error codes.
The list price is $995.
Handpieces
Aseptico is also debuting a brand new line of handpieces, the Aseptico by MK Dent line. The set consists of a low-speed contra-angle handpiece and restorative handpieces, including a 1:5 handpiece and air-driven 4-hole, 5-hole, and 6-pin configurations.
The new handpieces are manufactured in Germany and designed to be scratch-resistant and ergonomic. The 1:5, 5-hole, and 6-hole restorative handpieces feature fiber optics, and the 1:5 restorative and contra-angle handpieces include ceramic bearings for heavy use.
The list prices for the handpieces range from $220 to $795.
