Dental device company Rodo Medical has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Rodo Smilekey, an induction remover device for use with the Rodo abutment system.
The device removes dental prostheses retained by the Rodo Smileloc in less than 10 seconds without occlusal holes or damaging the prostheses. The device will be available to current customers in July 2018 before being released to the U.S. later in 2018, according to Rodo Medical.
