Laser and CAD/CAM scanner company Biolase has reported a decrease in net revenues for the fiscal fourth quarter of 2017 and the year.
For the quarter (end-December 31), the company reported net revenue of $12.6 million, a decrease of 8% compared with net revenue of $13.8 million from the same period of 2016. The company attributed the revenue decrease to U.S. laser and imaging system sales.
The company reported a net loss of $3.8 million for the quarter, compared with a net loss of $4.4 million in the same quarter of 2016.
For the year, Biolase reported net revenue of $46.9 million, a 9% decrease compared with net revenue of $51.8 million for 2016. The company reported a net loss of $16.9 million in 2017, compared with a net loss of $15.4 million for the previous year.
