About 30% of 6- to 12-year-old children in the U.S. miss school because of oral health problems, according to a new survey by Delta Dental.
Parents who completed Delta Dental's National Children's Oral Health Survey reported that dental problems contributed to more than 9 million missed school days in 2015. In addition, 71% of parents cited their child's oral health as a top concern over school grades (61%) or physical activity (55%).
