CHICAGO - Hu-Friedy announced a strategic partnership with Switzerland-based Electro Medical Systems (EMS) this afternoon at the Chicago Dental Society's Midwinter Meeting.

Ken Serota, Hu-Friedy's president, said at a press conference that this strategic alliance does more than just create a partnership.
"This allows Hu-Friedy to advance prophylaxis in the U.S. and Canada," Serota said.
The company is now-well positioned to help dental practitioners, Serota said in a press release.
"As the only company to offer products for hand scaling, piezoelectric power scaling, and air polishing, we are now uniquely positioned to help clinicians deliver the highest level of prophylaxis care to their patients."
