The Dental Implant Institute (DII) of Arcadia has filed a lawsuit against Neoss alleging that Neoss supplied DII with defective dental implants.
According to the complaint, DII purchased and entered into a contract with Neoss. Shortly after the purchase, DII claims it began to notice significantly higher failure rates with the Neoss implants. As a result, many of DII's patients had to have their implants redone multiple times, which negatively affected DII's reputation and caused additional expense and harm to the patients, according to the complaint.
The lawsuit was filed January 12, 2012, in Los Angeles Superior Court. DII is seeking monetary compensation for the negligence, intentional misrepresentation, negligent misrepresentation, strict products liability, breach of contract, breach of warranty, and concealment of Neoss' dental implants.
