Kettenbach introduces Identium in 1:1 cartridges

Kettenbach has introduced Identium, a vinylsiloxanether impression material for the one-step impression technique.

The material combines the best features of both A-silicone and polyether materials in 1:1 cartridges, according to the company.

Identium is available in three different viscosities -- medium, heavy, and light -- and in regular and fast sets.

Identium medium has a high final hardness (A 60) and is intended for implants and fixed impressions, and is also suitable for crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and veneer fabrication. Identium heavy is a high-viscosity tray material with a high final hardness (A 60) and is suitable for the double-mix technique (in combination with Identium light) for crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, veneers, removable dentures, and implants.

All three viscosities have a total working time of two minutes and an intraoral setting time of three and a half minutes. All fast set viscosities have a total working time of one minute, 15 seconds and an intraoral setting time of two minutes, 15 seconds.
