AXP Dental to certify quality, content of zirconia products

AXP Dental will begin providing IdentCeram certificates to all dental labs purchasing its zirconia milling block products, according to the IdentAlloy/IdentCeram Council.

"Labs, dentists, patients, and insurers are all showing increased interest in the makeup of restoration materials," said Axel Pomeranz, president and CEO of AXP Dental, in a press release. "IdentCeram certificates will provide even more value to our products by supplying important verification of their content, thus enabling labs to add more value to their products -- without any added cost."

AXP Dental was founded in 2009 by Pomeranz, former president of Wieland Dental Systems. The company provides CAD/CAM-related products, resources, and services from Europe, including Dekema furnace technology, Icore Dental CAD/CAM systems, Merz CAD/CAM consumables, and NT Trading implant parts and software programs.

The IdentAlloy/IdentCeram Council is a nonprofit organization formed to raise healthcare standards through the documentation of alloys and ceramic materials used in dental restorations.
