Dentium USA is now offering rainbow Gum impression material, the latest addition to its rainbow brand product line. It was specially designed and formulated to reproduce a natural tissue model with lifelike gingival color, according to the company.
Composed of polyvinylsiloxanes, rainbow Gum is scannable by CAD/CAM laser scanners and is ideal for producing flexible gingival masks for master models used in the dental laboratory because it eliminates the need to use a scan spray during the CAD/CAM scanning process, according to Dentium.
"The tough durability and low flexibility of the soft-tissue material after curing allows rainbow Gum to adhere precisely to the configuration of implant abutments and implant analogs," the company said in a press release.
Working time for rainbow Gum is approximately 1.5 minutes, with complete cure time achieved in 6.5 minutes, Dentium noted.
