3D Diagnostix is now offering a surgical guide service for implant treatment planning designed to make using such guides more affordable.
According to the company, if you are a computer-guided software user of such products as Simplant or Nobel Procera, you can send one of your treatment plans to 3D Diagnostix and get a free review and a surgical guide at a fixed discounted rate.
For dentists who don't have a treatment plan ready or don't own any software at all, the company will provide you with a preliminary treatment plan and the same flat-rate surgical guide package.
"A big part of why we came up with this idea was to help doctors give their patient a quote of their surgical costs," said Karim Galil, vice president of sales for 3D Diagnostix. "Surgical guides have prices that are variable by type and the number of implants. That's a recipe for a billing mess. By offering guides at prices that are not only discounted but also fixed, 3D Diagnostix is addressing an important obstacle in the way of many doctors to start using guides more often."
