Triodent has launched Griptab, designed to improve the way dentists do indirect restorations.
The Griptab is a small handle that can be adhered to crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays. The light-cured, flexible adhesive is strong and resistant to silane and moisture, but at the same time is easily and cleanly detached from the restoration at the end of the procedure, the company said.

Griptab can be used on all laboratory and CAD/CAM generated indirect restorations. It ensures precise control during try-ins, hydrofluoric acid etching, silanation, and ultrasonic cleaning, according to Triodent.
"The sheer awkwardness of handling restorations can be frustrating, and there is always the risk of dropping them, which is why we came up with Griptab, a simple solution to the problem," said Triodent CEO Simon McDonald, B.D.S., in a press release.
Griptab comes in three sizes to handle any type of bonded or cement restoration: small for inlays and veneers; medium for inlays, onlays, veneers, and crowns; and large for crowns.
