Straumann and Ivoclar Vivadent have announced a partnership agreement that will enable them to offer aesthetic solutions for tooth replacement and restoration, according to a press release.
Under the terms of the agreement, Ivoclar Vivadent will supply its proprietary IPS e.max (zirconium dioxide) ceramic technology to Straumann for use in the latter's dental prosthetic solutions, both implant and tooth-borne.
The first combined product, the Straumann Anatomic IPS e.max Abutment, is being introduced this week at the International Dental Show in Cologne, Germany, and will be available in Europe next month and in North America starting in June.
A range of Straumann CAD/CAM prosthetics in IPS e.max lithium disilicate ceramics will also be launched in the coming months in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, and throughout the rest of Europe by year's end.
