Carestream Dental and the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Foundation have given the Dr. D. Walter Cohen Teaching Award to Guo-Hao (Alex) Lin, DDS.
The annual award sponsored by Carestream recognizes a dentist who is beginning his or her career as a periodontal educator. The winner receives a one-time payment of $10,000.
Dr. Lin is currently an assistant professor of surgical sciences at the Marquette University School of Dentistry. He received his Master of Science degree and certificate in periodontology from the University of Michigan in 2016, and his research focuses on evidence-based dentistry and implant-related clinical studies.
