OraHealth's new XyliMelts ease xerostomia

OraHealth is now offering XyliMelts disks designed to relieve xerostomia and reduce caries.

XyliMelts are all-natural, oral adhering disks that release 500 mg of xylitol and an oral lubricant to relieve xerostomia, according to the company.

A study in the International Journal of Dental Hygiene (May 2012, Vol. 10:2, pp. 118-121) demonstrated that using XyliMelts while sleeping improved perceived oral wetness upon awakening in the morning, and improved perceived discomfort for xerostomia.

XyliMelts also can be used with comprehensive positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines. Wholesale pricing is available for dental professionals.
