Zila has acquired Discus Dental's laser and prophy product portfolios.
The products include the NVT and SL3T soft tissue lasers, ZenT cordless hygiene handpiece, and the Insight ultrasonic insert lines, according to a press release.
The additions support Zila's proprietary soft-tissue management products, including Rotadent rotary toothbrushes, ViziLite Plus oral lesion identification and marking system, Atridox (doxycycline hyclate) 10% locally applied antibiotic, and the Pro-Select Platinum piezo ultrasonic scaler.
Customer support, manufacturing and distribution operations for these product lines will move to Zila's facilities in Batesville, AR.
