Sunstar Americas is now distributing its new GUM PerioShield oral health rinse at CVS/Pharmacy stores across the U.S.
GUM PerioShield rinse forms a protective barrier that inhibits bacterial adhesion to tooth and gum surfaces, which can help prevent gingivitis, according to the company. The proprietary ingredient in the rinse is delmopinol hydrochloride 0.2%, which prevents bacteria from adhering and also disrupts existing biofilm, according to Sunstar.
CVS/Pharmacy will begin carrying PerioShield this month. The suggested retail price is $9.99 for a 10-oz. bottle.
