The American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA) will once again collaborate with the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company to promote National Dental Hygiene Month (NDHM) in October.
This year's theme, "It's Simple. Healthy habits for a healthy smile," promotes the idea that good oral hygiene habits are simple to establish and maintain, even for the person living an active lifestyle. "Brush, Floss, Rinse, Chew" reminds consumers that keeping a healthy mouth can have lasting effects, including helping prevent oral disease.
NDHM is also an opportunity to recognize hygienists for their contributions and praise our member and potential member dental hygienists for their daily contributions to their office, patients, and community, the ADHA noted.
ADHA is rewarding these contributions is through its Facebook page. With the help of Wrigley and Orbit gum, ADHA is giving hygienists the opportunity to win prizes throughout NDHM with the Parade of Prizes Trivia Game. Each weekday during October, a new trivia question and corresponding prize will be posted on ADHA's Facebook page. Hygienists will be given the chance to win prizes such as iPods, gift sets, digital cameras, and more.
The contest is open to all licensed dental hygienists or students currently enrolled in a dental hygiene program.
